The Hoochie Coochie has fast become Newcastle’s go-to venue for great funk, soul and jazz gigs. This is our biggest gig to date, and we’re really looking forward to it.

The Cumberland Arms in Byker is close to our hearts. A cultural landmark in Newcastle, and home to fine beer, good folk, and a wealth of great music.

To sample all three of these wonderful things, get yourself down to the Cumberland Beer Festival on Sunday 15 July. There’ll be free music all day from mid afternoon, and we’re on at 7pm.

We’re headlining this Oxjam charity gig at the wonderful Cumberland Arms; possibly our spiritual home. An evening of jazz, funk, dirty blues and acoustic at Newcastle’s best-loved pub venue. Cake sale, crap raffle, bunting and electro-swing DJ sets accompany a night of ridiculous musical talent from three exciting bands, showing off what the city really has to offer.

We are immensely proud and excited to be performing on the outdoor stage as part of the grande finale of the Newcastle Gateshead Winter Carnival. We will be entertaining the crowds (usually 10,000 plus) at Haymarket to welcome the Winter Carnival Parade, and as a prelude to the annual firework celebrations.
